The Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy have joined hands to constitute an award in the name of famous actress Soundarya. Tolly wood actor Sai Kumar is the head of this award committee. Versatile actress Sneha is going to be presented with the first edition of the award.

Sneha recently received the Kalaimamani award for the year 2004 announced by the Tamilnadu Government.
